The Manitoba government offers a Hearing Aid Grant to help eligible residents cover the cost of hearing aids. Qualifying individuals can receive up to $2,000 in coverage.
For many seniors, cost is the single biggest reason for putting off treating hearing loss. This grant removes a large part of that barrier — and the application is simpler than most people expect.

Who qualifies?
To be eligible for the Manitoba Hearing Aid Grant, you must meet all of the following criteria:
- Older than 65 years of age
- Household income under $80,000
- Resident of Manitoba
- Hearing assessment required
- Proof of Income Letter from CRA required

You can request a Proof of Income Letter through your CRA My Account online or by calling the CRA. If you're not sure where to start, bring your questions to your appointment and we'll point you in the right direction.
If you have extended health benefits, we'll help you understand how they work alongside the grant. We work with WCB, NIHB, DVA, and all third-party hearing aid providers, and bill third-party insurance directly when applicable.
